Total Recall
Just watched Total Recall for about 5th time.

When I watched it for the first time I thought that it was about actual trip to Mars.
Later I started to think that it was just an elaborate memory implant.
But the most likely explanation is that it was a schizoid embolism and Doug Quaid went crazy:
why would Rekall use people in Quaid's life as characters in the story? During the trip, Quaid kills his friend Harry from work, his wife Lori, and countless other people. When he wakes up, how is he supposed to function normally?

Total Recall is an excellent work by Paul Verhoeven and recommend you to re-watch it again.

I think the real version was described in the film. It was a memory implant that went totally wrong.

Yes: they call that problem "we hit a memory cap" and the consequence - "schizoid embolism".

Man, read it. The story is less than a page. I read it many times. And saw the movie about 10 times. If you think I know whether it's real or not, I don't.
